In 2021, with the help of state funding, the Briermost Foundation started On the Road of Recovery to inspire hope, reduce stigma and humanize addiction. Since then, we’ve traveled across Ohio in our RV interviewing individuals in recovery from addiction to share their hopeful stories. These stories have been viewed over 68,000 times on YouTube and have reached over 96,000 individuals on social media!
Recovery housing still faces stigma as a barrier in many communities across the state. That’s why one of our goals is to reduce stigma and raise awareness about the benefits of recovery housing through sharing positive, hope-filled stories from individuals in recovery.
