Board of Directors

President:

Frank Benkalowycz is recently retired from KeyBank and served as the Corporation’s Crisis Manager and National Incident Response Leader. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the non-profit Jones Road Family Development Corporation which promotes Literacy through the Arts for youth in the Cleveland Slavic Village community. He is an executive leader in the St. Bernadette Parish Knights of Columbus. Mr. Benkalowycz completed his Masters in Engineering at Cleveland State University and is a business crisis, incident response, health, safety and environmental management professional with over 40 years of national and international experience.

Secretary:

Joan Stenger has been an employed as a primary counselor at Glenbeigh Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center in Beachwood, OH after earning her Masters of Education, Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Kent State University. Ms. Stenger is dually licensed holding both Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency.

Treasurer:

Jerome Seppelt earned his Bachelors Degree at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. He received his Masters Degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland. He began his teaching career in Escanaba, Michigan and then came to Cleveland to develop NASA educational partnerships in the Cleveland Public Schools. In this capacity he developed project-based learning in math and science for classroom teachers. After working in the Educational Department at the NASA Glenn Research Center for 35 years, he then was hired by Cuyahoga Community College to develop and direct their Youth Technology Academy. During that time, he was inducted the U. S First Robotics Hall of Fame in Manchester, New Hampshire. He is President of the local Kiwanis and is very active in Knights of Columbus charitable activities.

At-Large:

Steve Hosier spent most of his career in the investment business where he worked in research, investment banking and asset management.  For the latter half of his career, he worked in the foundation world managing assets held by the various institutions.  Most recently he worked at The Cleveland Clinic Investment Office where he was Director of Operations.  Now retired, he lives in Cleveland with his wife of 43 years, Mary. Steve is a friend of Bill W.

At-Large:

Tina Valentine-Christian is a chemical dependency professional experienced in working with diverse populations diagnosed with co-occurring substance use disorders at City Mission. She has been active in the 12-step recovery community for many years.
