OUR MISSION

The Briermost Foundation’s mission is to provide safe, sober and supportive housing to women in recovery from drugs and alcohol and provide purpose in living through learning and training opportunities.  We believe in treating people with respect and dignity as they learn to live sober.  The goal of our site is to illustrate our methods along with making the starting process easier.   Please take a look around and feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

We will assist in:

  • promoting change by addressing the eight dimensions of wellness- physical, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, vocational, financial, and environmental
  • transitioning to life after exiting an addiction treatment center or completing detoxification
  • guiding each resident to sober events, 12 step retreats, meetings and entertainment.
  • strengthening interpersonal skills by practicing self-respect and self-acceptance
  • providing referrals for intensive out-patient treatment, mental health assessments or training services

TESTIMONIALS

Our purpose is to provide resident support for individuals suffering from substance use disorders who need supportive recovery-oriented housing. Our program is designed to specifically address the recovering person’s need for a safe and healthy living environment while also providing peer support, home-like surroundings, and a connection to services that promote long-term recovery.  The transition from active addiction to recovery is a challenging and emotionally difficult journey. We provide the crucial support to those who struggle with unresolved trauma, emotional difficulties, grief and loss.

We work to provide our residents with a sense of purpose and identity, while also providing direction to lead a successful sober life on their own. We believe in diversity and inclusivity; everyone is worthy of help and help will always be given to those who ask. We instill everything we do with the drive of improving individual lives and by result the communities we serve. Our staff and Board of Directors has implemented a diversity and inclusion plan to better serve our community.
